Yannick Scholich

Developer & Creative Thinker

About Me

Welcome to my digital space! I'm Yannick Scholich, a software developer and creative thinker based in Hesse, Germany. My journey in tech is driven by a deep passion for creating innovative solutions and exploring the exciting intersection of technology and human-centric design. I thrive on tackling complex problems, diving into new technologies, and continuously learning to push the boundaries of what's possible.

My professional experience includes developing robust web applications, designing scalable system architectures, and leading projects from conception to deployment. I'm a firm believer in agile methodologies and collaborative environments. I'm particularly interested in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, decentralized technologies, and building tools that empower others. Each visit to this site aims to bring a fresh perspective – much like my approach to every project. I enjoy crafting experiences that are not only functional and efficient but also engaging and delightfully unexpected.

Outside of coding, I'm an avid board game enthusiast, love hiking through tough terrain, enjoy exploring experimental music, and occasionally dabble in creative writing. I believe these diverse interests fuel my creativity and problem-solving skills in my technical work.

Featured Projects

Here are some of the projects I've worked on that showcase my passion for innovative solutions.

Project Chimera: Unified E-commerce Suite
Led the development of a modular e-commerce platform integrating inventory management, CRM, and analytics. Built with a microservices architecture using Python (Django), React, and PostgreSQL, deployed on Kubernetes (AWS EKS). Achieved 30% faster order processing.
InsightStream: Real-time Anomaly Detection
Developed an AI-powered system for detecting anomalies in high-volume data streams for a FinTech client. Used Kafka for data ingestion, Flink for stream processing, and TensorFlow for the anomaly detection models. Reduced false positives by 25% and improved detection speed by 40%.
ConnectSphere: Decentralized Social Network PoC
Designed and implemented a proof-of-concept for a decentralized social networking application using Ethereum (Solidity for smart contracts) and IPFS for data storage. Focused on user data ownership and censorship resistance. Front-end built with Vue.js.
"CodeCraft" VS Code Extension
An open-source VS Code extension aimed at improving developer productivity through intelligent code snippets and context-aware suggestions. Written in TypeScript, it has garnered over 10,000 downloads and active community contributions.
"GreenThumb" IoT Gardening System
A personal project involving an IoT-based automated gardening system. Uses Raspberry Pi, Python, and various sensors to monitor soil moisture, light, and temperature, with a web dashboard (Flask & Chart.js) for remote monitoring and control.
